PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power supply unit capable of preventing generation of damage by always monitoring the whole interior part of the uninterruptive power supply unit including blind spots, and detecting abnormal heating, thus stopping the function of a power circuit. SOLUTION: An infrared sensor (2) is provided at a position commanding the whole of an interior power circuit (1) of the uninterruptible power supply system to always monitor respective circuit elements of the interior power circuit (1). An abnormality detector (3) sends a detection signal of abnormal heating to a control circuit (4) if infrared radiation inputted from the infrared sensor (2) exceeds a prescribed threshold value. The control circuit (4), upon receiving the signal, stops the function of the power circuit (1). For dead spots from the infrared sensor (2), the developed infrared radiation is sent to the infrared sensor with an optical fiber (7) or a reflector (8). |
