PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the power efficiency of a charge pump circuit with a large output current. SOLUTION: Since the output of a first level shift circuit 5 has an amplitude of -Vdd to Vdd if a power source voltage supplied to an inverter 9 is set at Vdd and an input clock CLK is given an amplitude of 0 V to Vdd, when a P channel type MOS transistor 1 of a clock driver is turned on, the voltage between its source and drain becomes Vgs=-2 V, which enables a low impedance. As a result, a power efficiency in a charge pump circuit of large output current can be increased.
