PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric device that is not susceptible to an electric effect in the case of the frequency adjustment so as to enhance the frequency adjustment accuracy and the frequency adjustment speed and maintains high performance without reception of at least a downward electric effect. SOLUTION: A cover 34 is fixed to a package 33 to form a prescribed internal space 33a on the inside and a piezoelectric vibration chip 32 is contained in the internal space in this piezoelectric device. The package 33 is provided with a ground electrode film 48 placed lower than a part at which the piezoelectric vibrator chip is contained and located.
