PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video editing system and a method for editing the same capable of easily using a video raw material in a video server at a remote location, avoiding an influence of a delay of a network by using a cache memory, and realizing an improvement in operability of a video editing work. SOLUTION: A video client 300 acquires video data from the video server via a network 200 in response to a video editing position in a control inputting and video editing equipment from a video editing equipment 400, stores the data in the cache memory 320, reads the video data of the editing position designated from the memory, outputs the data to the video editing equipment, further newly acquires necessary video data via the network from the server in response to a movement of the editing position, and updates a range of the data stored in the memory. |
