摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical control equipment of a machine tool and a method for groove machining, enabling to generate a program for groove machining easily and to be able to reduce program size. SOLUTION: Analysis processor 3 analyzes a command code G182 for groove machining provided for instructing a groove machining having a predetermined cross-sectional shape along the surface of a work. Analysis processor 3 then generates a control command for instructing a relative movement of the work and a tool required for machining the groove entirely. The control instruction is generated based on a criterion path program $ for specifying a criterion path of the groove to be machined on the work, a cross-sectional shape data for specifying the cross-sectional shape of the groove, and a machining condition data for machining the groove, respectively attached to command code G182 for groove machining.
