MONITORING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system which enables an operator to instruct which object displayed on a screen should be tracked. SOLUTION: A monitoring system 100 is composed of a camera 200 which tracks automatically the object that is instructed as a tracking object and a monitor 300 which displays the object of tracing that is instructed as the tracking object. The monitoring system 100 is equipped with a video image processing part 210 which displays a marker to the monitor 300 and an moving object detecting part 220 and a tracking control part 230 which track the object located in a predetermined positional relationship with the marker in the video images displayed on the monitor 300.
