PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an oscillation phenomenon where shading and black and white patterns are repeated when a plurality of fields are accumulated in an image pickup device using a solid-state image element. SOLUTION: EN7 is supplied from a timing generation circuit 5 to SW15 and 16 for controlling on and off. The SW15 is closed while the EN7 is at an H level, and the output value of an amplifier 11 is inputted to C2. When the EN7 becomes an L level, the SW15 is opened, and the average value of the output of the amplifier 11 is maintained in the C2. While the EN7 is at an H level, the SW16 is open, and the EN7 is on at an L level. At this time, the level of the C2 and the output of the amplifier 11 are inputted to an amplifier 13, and the error is amplified and is supplied to C3 through the SWl6, thus giving feedback to the amplifier 11, and hence preventing the shading and oscillation phenomenon.
