PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture communication device capable of certainly performing ring broadcast transmission of picture information which corresponds to color information, when the color information is ring-broadcast-transmitted to picture communication devices of a plurality of destinations, even if picture communication devices having a color communication function and picture communication devices without the color communication function are mingled together in the picture communication devices of the destinations. SOLUTION: These are picture communication devices which perform ring broadcast transmission of transmitting one piece of information to a ring shape. When received ring broadcast information is transmitted to the next destination, whether or not the received ring broadcast information is requested to be converted on the occasion of its transmission is judged. If it is judged that the received ring broadcast information requires conversion, a line which is connected to the next destination is cut, and the received ring broadcast information is converted. After that, the converted received ring broadcast information is transmitted to the next destination.
