PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer system for automatically switching the error correction method by using a specific index to the error due to a transmission error of communication data that is caused in a communication network system. SOLUTION: When an ARQ(Automatic Repeat Request) device 4110 of the receiving side receives data, the index value that is calculated by an index value calculation part 4114 is transmitted to an ARQ device 4010 of the transmitting side. Then the error correction method is switched to the FEC(Forward Error Correction) method when the index value exceeds its threshold.
