PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer whose patterns of electrodes are not required to be altered even when it is used in one mode selected from among a plurality of vibration modes. SOLUTION: In each of laminated layers for forming a sintered body 16 of a piezoelectric ceramic rectangular plate, there is so provided a first or second input electrode on its top-surface portion occupying nearly its half in its lengthwise direction that the first and second input electrodes are opposed alternately to each other in its thickness direction. At the nearly middle portion in the lengthwise direction of a first side surface present in the widthwise direction of the piezoelectric ceramic rectangular plate and at the nearly quarterly portion in the lengthwise direction of a second side surface present in its widthwise direction, the first input electrode has respectively electrode connecting portions connected with external electrodes 17, 18. At the nearly quarterly portion in the lengthwise direction of the first side surface and at the nearly middle portion in the lengthwise direction of the second side surface, the second input electrode has respectively electrode connecting portions connecting with external electrodes 17', 18'.
