PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the characteristics of a rare-earth magnet for avoiding the danger of exothermic reactions and firing, while reducing the oxygen content of the raw material powder. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing rare-earth magnet includes a pressing step of manufacturing a molded body 20, by compression molding rare-earth alloy powder containing <=4,000 mass ppm oxygen by the dry pressing method, a step of making the molded body 20 impregnated with an organic solvent 21 from the surface of the body 20, and a step of sintering the body 20. Since the body 20 is impregnated with the solvent 21 after the body 20 has been formed, the oxidation of rare-earth elements is suppressed efficiently, and the firing of the elements can be prevented.
