PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for an image forming device for preventing peripheral equipment from generating high frequencies and flicker noise by controlling the electric current which is to be supplied to a heater lamp. SOLUTION: When the power source of this device is turned ON, the device enters into the power supplying operation to a heater lamp 2 and the control part 6 of the device judges whether the temperature of the lamp 2 is equal to or higher than a first prescribed temperature or not by calculating the temperature from the detected result of a thermistor 4. Power is supplied to the lamp 2 by combining a third control means 6c and a first control means 6a until the temperature of the lamp 2 reaches the first prescribed temperature. When the temperature of the lamp 2 becomes equal to or higher than the first prescribed temperature, power is supplied to the lamp 2 by a second control means 6b. When the temperature of the lamp 2 becomes equal to or higher than a second prescribed temperature from the calculation result of the temperature based on the detected result of the thermistor 4 of the control part 6, and device performs a processing so that the temperature of the lamp 2 becomes equal to or lower than a prescribed temperature.
