PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly grasp the number of revolution times of a rotary type developing device unit in order to recognize the time for exchange of members which are deteriorated by accompanying the revolutions of this unit by providing the device with a means for measuring the number of revolution times. SOLUTION: A projecting part 461 is disposed at one point at the end of a disk-shaped plate of a front side plate 460a of the revolver developing unit 4 and a light transmission type sensor 465 is disposed in proximity to the end of the front side plate. Every time the revolver developing unit 4 rotates, the shut-off signals emitted by shutting off of the optical path of the light transmission type sensor by the projecting part described above are counted and the number of revolution times of the revolver developing unit is obtained. The results of the measurement are displayed in a display section 467 for the number of revolution times of a printer body. A service engineer or the like is able to predict the deterioration state or consumption state of the parts from the number of revolution times displayed on the display section for the number of revolution times and is able to properly carry out maintenance. |
