PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a test set suited to an examinee on a computer and to propose a method capable of estimating the ability of the examinee by this question setting method and also to enable the examinee to immediately obtain an result after the completion of an examination. SOLUTION: This system successively sets examinees question items along a question setting form in which examination-question items are structured in a tree shape and estimates the ability of each examinee with an ability estimating method in which a path-dependent type tree-shaped structure is used depending on whether the answer of each examinee to every question item is right or wrong.
