DATA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM UTILIZING HUMAN BODY AS SIGNAL TRANSMISSION PATH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission system of a contact sensing type with reduced power consumption. SOLUTION: This system comprises a 1st transmitter-receiver 10 mounted on a user and a 2nd transmitter-receiver 30 connected to a data processing unit 50. The 1st transmitter-receiver 10 is provided with a signal electrode 11 in contact with a human body and a ground electrode 12, and the 2nd transmitter-receiver 30 has a touch electrode 31 with which a body of a user acting like a signal path is in contact. When the 1st transmitter-receiver 10 detects a start signal outputted from the 2nd transmitter-receiver 30 when the human body is in contact with the 2nd transmitter-receiver 30, the 1st transmitter-receiver 10 supplies power to its own circuits to transmit data from the 1st transmitter-receiver 10 to the 2nd transmitter-receiver 30. That is, the 1st transmitter-receiver 10 is driven in a mode where the energy consumption is suppressed until the user is in contact with the 2nd transmitter-receiver 30.
