PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of generating optical surges, corresponding to the fluctuation of the optical power of optical signals, and degradation of a waveform at the time of amplifying burst optical signals. SOLUTION: An optical branching part 110 branches inputted optical signals into two and a photodetection part 120 converts one of the optical signals branched by the optical branching part 110 to an electric signal. A first control part 122 generates a control electric signal provided with the waveform for which the envelope of the electric signal is inverted, and an optical signal generation part 124 outputs the dummy optical signal of a wavelength λd and an amplitude α/2 based on the control electric signal. The other optical signal branched by the optical branching part 110 is delayed for prescribed time by a delay part 112, and then multiplexed with the dummy optical signal from the optical signal generation part 124 in an optical multiplexing part 114. A light amplification part 116 amplifies the multiplexed optical signals. An optical filter 118 takes out the optical signal of the wavelength λ1 from the amplified optical signals.
