PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the improvement in a feeling of operation and the improvement in safety in a safe pedal. SOLUTION: The pedal device is safe pedal which has following mechanisms; (1) a sensor 3 which reads the pushing-open quantity of an accelerator pad 2 as the amount of electricity is provided to the accelerator pad 2; (2) a hys. mechanism 21 which adds a hysteresis characteristic to the pushing-open movement of the accelerator pad 2 is provided in the accelerator pad 2; (3) an interception mechanism which makes the operation quantity to 0 (zero) independently of the pushing-open quantity of the accelerator pad 2 when the stepping into a break pad 1 is detected; and (4) the relation between the pushing-open quantity of the accelerator pad 2 and the operating quantity of a throttle mechanism is corresponded to nonlinear.
