PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an extreme increase in the number of elements and to improve the accuracy in calculation concerning a solution adaptive grating method. SOLUTION: When dividing or merging elements while using an error index and a reference value, in addition to an isotropic dividing pattern for dividing all edges as divided patterns or auxiliary dividing pattern for allowing undevided edges, a similar dividing pattern is used for a prism element and a hexahedron element for providing an element form similar to the undivided element by bisecting a rectangular interface. Since the similar dividing pattern allows the undevided edge, the area of fraction can be suppressed within a limited range. Beside, since the angle of each of apexes of the divided element is equal, a quality can be prevented from being lowered by reducing the angle of the apex. Further, since it is not necessary to introduce discontinuous grids, a solution can be speedily and accurately calculated without necessity to use a special solver.
