PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device and its storing method which enables easy confirmation as to whether data has been written normally (whether a writing defect occurs) at data updating. SOLUTION: This device has a data storage area 23a, where data D are written when updated periodically or aperiodically, a front storage area 23b where a front check code T determined uniquely according to a specific rule is written before the data D are written to the data storage area 23a, and a rear storage area 23c where a rear check code E determined unequivocally according to a prescribed rule is written according to the front check code T, after the writing of the data D to the data storage area 23a is completed.
