The power tool system includes a clutch box (2) which is connected by a shaft (8) to the engine (6) of a vehicle (4). A linked distribution box may be used to provide a power drive to a selection of different tools (14,20,22,24,26,28,30). A flexible output shaft (10) from this clutch box has its remote end connected to a tool (12), or to a distribution box (18). The distribution box may be used to provide a power drive to a selection of different tools (14,20,22,24,26,28,30). The distribution box (18) may have a number of different outputs suitable for household DIY tools, and for gardening tools. The drive for these tools may include a reversing mechanism, so that the tools may be driven in either direction, and the different outputs offer different operating speeds.
