A propeller fan (1) which is so designed that with z-axis defined by the rotational shaft of the propeller fan (1) and with (r, theta , z) used as coordinates in a cylindrical coordinate system, a curved surface shape defined by a predetermined r-coordinate, theta -coordinate and z-coordinate is used as the base shape of the surface of a vane (3) of the propeller fan (1), and the surface of the vane (3) of the propeller fan (1) is formed by a curved surface which is obtained by scaling up or down the base shape in at least one of the r-, theta - and z-directions.
