<p>A method of promoting responsible and accountable driving by displaying a reportable vehicle reference number on a vehicle and providing observers (14) of the vehicle an opportunity to submit reports on the vehicle driver's driving behavior at an Internet location through an Internet connection (16). The location further provides the capacity for online subscription to the vehicle reporting service and automatic and substantially immediate transmittal of a submitted report to the vehicle owner. Transmittal of the reports may be by email, facsimile, postal carrier, or other appropriate method. A method of providing discounts and promotional incentives is provided whereby vehicle insurance discounts are offered to owners displaying a reportable vehicle reference number and indication of an Internet reporting method on their vehicle.</p> |
