<p>Preventives and remedies for diseases in association with nerve function disorders caused by demyelination which contain erythropoietin as the active ingredient; and a preventive and therapeutic method. In accordance with the preventives, remedies and method as described above, diseases in association with nerve function disorders caused by demyelination can be prevented and treated by exerting a protective effect on the survive of oligodendrocytes under myelination and promoting the maturation of undifferentiated oligodendrocytes in the brain to thereby activate remyelination in multiple sclerosis, which is a typical example of diseases in association with demyelination, and cerebrovascular dementia typified by Binswanger's disease.</p> |
