The invention relates to a hydraulic circuit for filtering a fluid, comprising a fluid accumulator (10), a fluid pump (17), a user (14) a filter element (23) and a controller (24). A heated fluid can at least partly be fed to the filter element (23). Said hydraulic circuit may be applied in fluid systems whereby a fluid, such as for example water, oil or fuel is filtered and there is at least partly a return of fluid to the fluid accumulator (10). According to the invention, fluid is pumped in said hydraulic circuit by means of the fluid pump (17) from the fluid accumulator (10) in fluid lines (11, 13, 15, 16), purified by a filter element (23) and supplied to a user (14). The fluid not required by the user (14) is returned by means of a fluid return line (15) to the controller (24) which returns the fluid to either the filter element (23), or the fluid accumulator (10), according to the fluid temperature. Furthermore, the controller (24) and the filter element (23) are arranged in a common housing (18), provided with a raw fluid inlet (19), a clean fluid outlet (20), a fluid return (12) and a fluid outlet (22). By means of said connectors fixed to the housing (19, 21, 22) a rapid and simple assembly of the fluid circuit is possible.
