PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire for motor vehicle is provided to lengthen the life of tire by preventing the inner groove formed at the tread portion from being cracked even when the inner groove has a depth deeper than the other groove. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic tire includes, as main components, a tread(1), a side wall(2) and a bead portion(3), wherein the tread has a belt layer(4) and a groove(5) is formed at the surface of the tread. An inner groove(51) which is formed inward based at the state where the tire is installed to the motor vehicle, has a depth deeper than the depth of the other groove, and an allowance(6) having a length of 3 to 15mm is formed between an outermost belt(41) and the inner groove.
