PURPOSE: A cutting oil recovering device is provided to maximize the recovery efficiency of cutting oil by returning the cutting oil stuck on metal chips into a precipitation separating container from a chip accumulating portion and guiding the cutting oil falling from an open portion into a cutting oil collecting chamber. CONSTITUTION: A gentle slope face(1-3) is formed in the upper portion of a slope face(1-2) of a precipitation separating container(1). The gentle slope face scrapes up the metal chips in the precipitation separating container via the slope face via a chain scrapper(4). When discharging the metal chips through a discharge outlet, cutting oil stuck on the metal chips and the scrapper falls freely from a chip accumulating portion(4-4) formed by the gentle slope face. The cutting oil recovers to the precipitation separating container. The metal chips without cutting oil fall down to an open portion(1-4) by being pushed by the following metal chips. When the metal chips are discharged through a metal chip discharge outlet(1-5), the cutting oil in the chip accumulating portion is recovered into the precipitation separating container via a transfer pipe(5-2) after being collected in a cutting oil collecting chamber(5) by a fall guiding panel.
