PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS FOR CONTROLLING INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE

Novel pharmaceutical compositions which can control intraocular pressure and are useful in the treatment, prevention or amelioration of eye diseases such as glaucoma and mydriasis. The compositions contain compounds of the general formula (I) or salts thereof: (I) wherein R<1> is a group of the general formula (II) (wherein R<3>, R<4>, R<5> and R<6> are each independently hydrogen, optionally substituted C1-6 alkoxy, or the like; and R<7> is halogeno); R<2> is hydrogen, optionally substituted C1-6 alkyl, a CH2-B group (wherein B is optionally substituted phenyl or the like), or the like; M is a single bond or C1-6 alkylene; and A is (III) or (IV) (wherein X<-> is a halide ion or an organic sulfonate ion).
