A compound represented by the general formula (I) useful as an antiandrogenic agent, a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, or a prodrug comprising either of these: (I) wherein X<1> and X<2> each independently represents hydrogen or a substituent such as, e.g., R represents hydrogen or a hydroxyl-protecting group; R and R in combination represent optionally protected -(C=O)- in cooperation with the 3-position carbon atom bonded to these; and the broken line indicates a single bond or double bond in cooperation with the solid line.
