PURPOSE: A domain name system and a method for providing information of a telephone number or an electronic mail address are provided to maximize the convenience of a user by dialing automatically to a telephone of a corresponding domain owner through the internet connection. CONSTITUTION: A user executes client software. The user inputs a domain name to call to an executed input window of the software. The user transmits the inputted domain name to a domain name system server. The domain name system server refers an Internet protocol address corresponding to the transmitted domain name, a registered telephone number, or an electronic mail address from a database. The domain name system server transmits the referred Internet protocol address to the user and extracts the telephone number or the electronic mail address.
