This invention relates to a coryneform bacterium, the plsC gene of which is enhanced, and to an isolated polynucleotide which encodes 1-acyl-SN-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase from coryneform bacteria, and also relates to a process for the fermentative production of L-amino acids with enhancement of the plsC gene in the bacteria, and to the use of the polynucleotide as a primer or a hybridization probe.
