The ventilation strip for a roof ridge or hip gap has two separate longitudinal elements (10,20), each of which forms integrally in one piece a locating section (12,22), an intermediate section (14,24) and a part of the bearing section (16,26). Ventilation openings are constructed in the intermediate sections and preferably have encompassing water protecting edges which especially form a water drain channel system. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for the manufacture of a ventilation strip for a roof ridge of hip gap including the manufacture of the two aforesaid longitudinal elements.
