The part frame-type holder (2) for the screw-free fastening of especially a number plate (3) to a vehicle is integrated into a body part (1) of the vehicle by shaping of this body part which determines the outer form of the vehicle. The holder may be integrated into the bumper cover or mudguard. A lockable clip-in element(5) turns the part-frame type holder into a complete frame so that the number plate is form-locked in all four directions.
