SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of polymeric substances that after special cross-linking reaction become macroplegmatic (cross-linked) ones and acquire ability to absorb organic solvents, gasoline and petrol and products that are damped in reservoirs or sea in the amount of 40-80 g of oily substance/g of polymers. Method involves cross-linking reaction of polystyrene, triple styrene copolymer, ethylene and butadiene SEBS and SBR elastomers hydrogenated up to saturation with 10%, 20% and 40% of styrene that are after special cross-linking in chlorinated solvents with 1,4-dichlo -romethyl-2,5- dimethylbenzene as a cross-linking agent and with titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4) as a catalyst form viscous cross-linked mass at 60 C. This mass is cut in crusher device, solvent is removed and polymeric products are deodorized by heating to 170 C and stirred under vacuum.
