AC GENERATOR FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE: An AC generator for an automobile is provided to form a disc type heat sink such that a through-hole for a diode for converting AC into DC is formed on proper position of the disc and a protrusion supporting a brush holder and a rectifier is formed on one side of the peripheral surface of the disc, thereby improving performance of a fan. CONSTITUTION: An AC generator comprises a heat sink(100) having a through-hole(110) into which a diode for converting AC into DC is mounted to radiate heat. The heat sink is formed with a disc by a die casting. The diode is mounted to a proper position of the disc type heat sink. On one side of the peripheral surface of the disc type heat sink is formed a protrusion(120) for supporting a brush holder and a rectifier and improving cooling performance of a fan. The height of the protrusion extends to some extent correspondingly to the length of a housing(H) of the AC generator.
