A bracket suitable for a heavy object such as projector has an anchorage plate 12 for fixing to a surface (eg a wall), and a telescopic beam 13,14,15 pivoted at one end, on an axis (A1 Fig 4), to the anchorage and at the other end to a carrier 18 which includes a holding plate 19 and a mounting plate 20 (Figs 7,8). Three pivots with orthogonal axes (A2 Fig 4), A3, A4 mount the holding plate to the beam, axes A1 and A2 being parallel. The mounting plate is fitted to the object and attaches removably to the holding plate by a rotary bayonet type fitting (Figs 6-8) having a fifth axis and including a series of pressed out annular segments (30-32) on the holding plate which engage complementary formations on the mounting plate. |
