PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably multiplex and branch a light having a prescribed wavelength and realize an optical wavelength multiplex communication of high quality independent of an external temperature. SOLUTION: The optical input waveguide 12, a first slab waveguide 13, an array- waveguide 14 comprising channel waveguides 14a which are different in length and arranged in parallel each other, a second slab waveguide 15, and an optical output waveguides 16, which are arranged in parallel, are connected in order to form a waveguide-forming part 10 on a substrate 11. A speaker-type waveguide 50, for example, is provided on the light emitting side(s) of one or more optical input waveguide(s) 12. The speaker-type waveguide 50 is formed by arranging a straight line waveguide part 25, which is the same in width as the narrow-width edge, on the side of the narrow-width edge (upper bottom 4) of a trapezoid waveguide 5 which is broader than the optical input waveguide 12 and becomes larger in width in the direction toward the first slab waveguide path 13. The optical multiplexing-branching function of the array-waveguide diffraction grating type optical multiplexing-branching filter is set for the interval of 100 GHz, and, for example, the wavelength multiplexing light having the wavelength interval of 200 GHz is made incident and branched. |
