PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a house having a patio by securing accessibility, privacy in crime prevention, an unified feeling with the house and convernence for use obtainable from the whole of the house in order to utilize the primary functions of the patio such as gardening, a space for entertain visitors and a place relaxation for the family members thereby increasing the frequency of the use of the patio which is normally low. SOLUTION: An earth-floored vestibule 3 accessible from the entrance door 2 is provided inside a building and a patio PT surrounded by at least 3 surfaces in the central part of the house is located, and a passage 10 connecting between the patio PT and one side of the vestibule 3 through the building is also functioning as an entrance hall in the configuration.
