PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide construction method for a tank body of an LNG underground tank and a roof of a high lap rate in a roof constructing process. SOLUTION: After completion of a continuous underground wall 5 as an outer frame of a tank body, a construction place for a roof skeleton 9, and a concrete mat 7 as a traveling surface of the roof skeleton 9 after construction are placed, boring the inside of the continuous underground wall 5, construction work of tank body side walls 10, and construction of the roof skeleton 9 including interior integrated with a tension ring 8 at a roof outer circumferential structural part on the mat 7 are simultaneously conducted, and at completion of construction of the side walls 10, the constructed roof skeleton 9 is horizontally traveled to be moved onto the side walls 10 to be integrated by placement at site.
