PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external wall structure allowing a mounting member to be directly mounted on a column without the working of an external wall panel. SOLUTION: A decorative panel (mounting member) 5a is formed of a decorative plate 51, leg parts and fixing parts 53 and 53 in both side end parts of the decorative plate 51, and has the same external shape of a horizontal cross section as a bay window. The decorative panel 5a is installed in such a manner as to straddle the external wall panel 21. The fixing parts 53 and 53 of the decorative panel 5a are inserted into joint parts 21a and 21a and fixed to the surfaces of the columns 23 by using tapping screws 8 from the surfaces of the fixing parts 53 and 53.
