PURPOSE: To provide a vibration gyro capable of surely detecting abnormality. CONSTITUTION: This gyro has a vibrator 100 having a drive electrode 106 and detection electrodes 104 and 105, a drive circuit 300 for placing a drive voltage on the drive electrode 106, a detection circuit 200 into which signals corresponding to bending displacement of the vibrator 100 are inputted from the detection electrodes 104 and 105, a signal processing circuit 400 for detecting an angular velocity by processing a signal inputted from the detection circuit 200, a power supply circuit 500, and a diagnosis circuit 600. The diagnosis circuit 600 conducts diagnosis on whether all of the detection circuit 200, drive circuit 300, processing circuit 400, and supply circuit 500 are normal or not. In this vibration gyro, diagnosis is conducted on whether or not an abnormality exists in any of all the detection circuit, drive circuit, processing circuit, diagnosis circuit, and supply circuit, and therefore, even if an abnormality occurs in part of the circuit elements or in the power supply, the abnormality can be surely detected.
