PURPOSE: A device for correcting the misconvergence of a deflection yoke is provided to be capable of correcting misconvergence(YH,PQH) at a large screen more than 19 inches when using a conventional YH correcting method. CONSTITUTION: Coma free correction coils(CF1-CF6) consist of diodes(D3-D6), resistors(R7-R10), first/second correction coils(RED), a variable resistor(YHVR) and a coil(V-coil). The diodes(D5,D6) are connected to each other through reverse polarity. The resistors(R9,R10) are respectively connected in parallel to the diodes(D5,D6). The first correction coil(RED) is serially connected between cathodes of the diodes(D3,D5). The second correction coil(RED) is serially connected between anodes of the diodes(D4,D6). The variable resistor is connected between the cathode of the diode(D3) and the anode of the diode(D4). The resistors(R7,R8) are serially connected to each other and are connected in parallel to the variable resistor(YHVR). The coil is serially connected between a junction of the resistors(R7,R8) and vertical deflection coils(V1,V2).
