PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid thrust bearing device using a super conductive coil capable of securing a thrust bearing function due to a mechanical radial bearing and a strong electromagnetic repulsion force and supporting heavy rotor. SOLUTION: This hybrid thrust bearing device comprises a flywheel body (rotor) 4 fixed to a vertical shaft 3, a radial mechanical bearing mechanism 6 functioning as a bearing in the radial direction of the vertical shaft 3, and a thrust bearing mechanism having a first thrust bearing super conductive coil 5 fixed to a base 1 and a second thrust bearing super conductive coil 7 disposed under the rotor 4 for floating the rotor 4 with the electromagnetic repulsion force against the first thrust bearing super conductive coil 5. |
