PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material conveying device and an image recording device capable of improving a conveying precision of the recording material for improving the quality of the image with improving the velocity, reducing the noise, and restraining the cost. SOLUTION: A conveying roller 14 is provided with an encoder scale 20 for measuring the driving quantity driven by a feed motor 9 for conveying a recording material by integral multiples of almost one rotation of the encoder scale 20.
