PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily hold paper to a side part in setting the paper in a paper storing member such as a document tray or the like to prevent the skewing or the like of the paper to be fed. SOLUTION: A guide member 1 for controlling a document or the like to be set in the document tray is allowed to abut on a side part of the document P and presses the same. An inner face of a longitudinal member 2 of the guide member 1 is provided with a control sheet 4 on a part higher than a predetermined height, and a sheet-like material of high frictional resistance such as a felt or the like is attached as the control sheet 5. The skewing or the like of the paper can be prevented in paper feeding by inhibiting the turning-up of a warped part Pe even when the warped part is found at a side part of the paper P.
