PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat structure for a steel valve that is reduced in weight and material cost and stabilized in material supply, is free of deformation and distortion by thermal effects of welding, and is improved in quality. SOLUTION: The seat structure is for a steel valve having in a valve casing a rotatable ball 3 and seat structures 5 with which the ball 3 is in sliding contact. The valve seat structures 5 comprise a valve seat 24 with which the ball 3 is in sliding contact, and a seat ring seat 22 for holding the valve seat 24. The seat ring seat 22 is separate from the valve casing, and is fixed via a fitting structure to a seat holder 6.
