PURPOSE: To provide a receiver for a wireless communication terminal, such as a mobile phone that discriminates synchronization at high speed, so as to compensate the deterioration in the transmission quality, thereby enhancing the reception characteristic. CONSTITUTION: When receiving a signal resulting from synthesizing a pilot symbol with transmission data and transmitted wirelessly, the phase of the pilot symbol is discriminated from the signal received, the synchronization timing of the received signal is discriminated on the basis of the discriminated phase, and the received signal is demodulated on the basis of the synchronization timing. |
