PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel retainer device and a panel retainer installation method capable of efficiently fixing a panel in highly sealed state at site by installing the panel retainer on the panel together with a gasket in a factory. SOLUTION: A seal member directly adhered to the front surfaces of both the panel and the panel retainer is provided, and a hook is formed at the lower end of the panel retainer. A channel-shaped clip is hooked to the hooks of both panel retainers, and pushed into a structural member with a boosting force for screwing thereinto. On the other hand, a cap as a gasket to seal between both panel retainers is pushed between both panel retainers so that the lip piece at the outer end of a cover gasket is held to come into contact with the panel.
