RECESSED SECTION COVERING DEVICE HAVING HOOK RECEIVING BAR FOR HANGING MANHOLE LID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover device which prevents outsiders from opening a manhole lid without good reasons by covering the recessed section of the manhole lid and a supporting bar provided in the recessed section. SOLUTION: A recessed section covering device is provided with a cover plate 1 which covers the recessed section A1 and a leg 3 which is inserted into the recessed section A1 on the lower surface of the plate 1 and a vertical locking shaft 4 which is rotatably passed through the cover plate 1 in a state where the shaft 4 does not move in the axial direction. A locking arm 6 is screwed on a threaded bar 5 below the locking shaft 4 and is positioned in the recessed section A1 so that the arm 6 may be engaged with and disengaged from the supporting bar A2.
