PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, small and portable device capable of determining simply a chlorine-including resin from among various waste plastics. SOLUTION: By using this simplified determination device of the chlorine- including resin comprising a torch type ignition instrument equipped with a copper wire on a part hit by a flame released from the torch type ignition instrument, the torch type ignition instrument is ignited, and the copper wire stuck on the instrument is heated by the flame. Then, the heated copper wire is brought into contact with a sample resin, to allow the sample resin to adhere on the copper wire surface. Then, the torch type ignition instrument is ignited again, and the copper wire is heated by the flame, and the color of the flame around the copper wire is observed, to thereby determine whether the sample resin is the chlorine-including resin or not.
