STRUCTURE OF TUYERE IN REFINING FURNACE AND ITS USING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of a furnace by restraining the damage of a spare tuyere brick and surely performing the exchanging use of gas blowing. SOLUTION: In a refining furnace refined by blowing the gas from plural tuyeres arranged at the lower part of a side wall, an initially using tuyere brick 5 used for the gas blowing since the initial stage of the operation and the spare tuyere brick 6 previously closed with the refractory are provided. The initially using tuyere brick 5 and the spare tuyere brick 6 are disposed so that the distance between pipe metal inserting holes at the furnace inner surface side of both tuyeres becomes 200-500 mm, and at the point of time when the initially using tuyere brick 5 used for the gas blowing since the initial stage of the operation is proceedingly damaged, this tuyere brick is alternated with the spare tuyere brick 6 and the gas blowing is successively performed.
